Top 10 Work From Home Jobs

It is many a person’s dream to work at home. That is probably one of your dreams if you are currently reading this, or any part of this blog for that matter. I mostly discuss internet and affiliate marketing when it comes to working at home, but there are many types of jobs available to you if you would like to work from home. Here is a list of some of the different ways you can work from home. Some are online, some are not.

1. Internet & Affiliate Marketing: This is discussed in depth on my blog, so if you would like to know more just look around and read some of the posts. You can also sign up for my newsletter to get access to free ebooks and also some great information I reveal only to my subscribers.

2. Online Multi-Level-Marketing: Multi-Level-Marketing is considered by most people to be a scam. Although there are mlm scams out there, there are also very legitimate mlms that you can work with to make quite a bit of money. Multi-Level-Marketing generally involves promoting a certain product and also creating a downline of people that work under you, earning you royalties.

For many online MLMs you don’t even have to sell a product, you just have to get other people to sign up for the MLM and pay a monthly fee, and you get a certain portion of that fee every month. You also generally earn a percentage from the person under that person, and the next, and so on. The company determines how many levels deep you still get paid for. It ranges anywhere from 2 to infinity! These creates a recurring income, and a desire to get more people to sign up under you. Be careful though, because if one of the top people under you leaves the company, you will lose all of the “commissions” you were receiving from all the people below them. So once you have gotten people to join the program, you need to make sure you keep them happy, and encourage them to do the same for the people below them so that you do not lose people.

3. Offline Multi-Level-Marketing: There are many examples of online MLM programs, but what about offline? One of the most famous examples is Herbalife. Herbalife is a health product company that covers everything to do with health from diet pills, to skin care, to protein bars. When you work for Herbalife they teach you how to promote your MLM online and offline, so you can do whatever works best for you. With Herbalife you both promote the Herbalife products, and you promote the business opportunity.

Your goal is to get as many people under you as possible, and have each of them selling lots of products so that you can make a lot of recurring income. You can also promote these programs online, in the same way that you would promote the MLM programs that are purely online. If you are not into affiliate or internet marketing, then this is a great source of income for you, as long as you are willing to work hard to get it started, and you do not choose a business without a solid reputation, such as Herbalife. For resources to help you succeed with MLMs check out this post on my blog: http://top5-workathome.com/blog/top-10-work-at-home-jobs/ (the resources are near the bottom, but the post still provides some basic information for succeeding with MLMs)

4. Freelance Work: Freelance work is generally associated with writing articles, or rewording articles that someone else has written (such as PLR articles) or translating articles, but it includes much much more. For instance, freelance work can include software creation, consulting services, labor services, and pretty much any of your skills. Freelancing involves selling your services to different people as you find people or they find you.

The most common type of freelance work generally deals with articles. You can write articles, reword articles for people looking to submit their articles to multiple places on the internet, or you can even translate articles if you are bilingual. There are many sites on the web where people post these types of jobs so that you can find them and offer your services. Some of the top sites are: http://www.RentaCoder.com, http://www.Guru.com, and http://www.Elance.com

Many people have great ideas for software that could make their life easier, and even many other people’s lives easier, but they are not programmers so that software never gets made. If you are a good programmer, then you could sell your services to people looking for someone to create software for them. Many people post these types of jobs on places such as http://www.RentaCoder.com, http://www.Guru.com, http://www.Elance.com, and other similar sites.

If you are skilled at SEO, marketing, web design, or something like that, then you can become a consultant for people looking to improve their web rankings, their landing pages, or their traffic. All you have to do is advise them on what they need to change in order to improve whatever they are attempting to improve. If you want you can even offer your services (for a fee of course) and offer to do these things for them, so they do not have to worry about it. Many people pay thousands of dollars for services such as SEO, so there is a lot of money to be made with consulting.

The last type of freelance work is offering physical labor services. You can offer services such as lawn mowing, decorating, catering, or whatever you specialize in. If you promote your services well, and you do a good job so that people spread the word about you, then you can make quite a bit of money while doing something that you enjoy!

5. Ebay/Auction Sites: One common way for anyone to get started working at home is to sell things at online auction sites. Often people will start by selling things that they have around the house that they no longer need. But what about when you run out of stuff you no longer want or need? You can’t sell everything you own! What happens next is a simple concept. Buy low, sell high. You can find great deals on Ebay (http://www.ebay.ca or http://www.ebay.com) with auctions that end at obscure times of day when most people are not online. You simply find these auctions, purchase the items at a low price, and put them right back on Ebay and have them end at a better time of day.

Another great place to find items is at garage sales or pawn shops. You can find big bundles of DVDs, or games, or pretty much anything. You simply purchase the items in bulk and sell them individually on Ebay. Depending on how cheap you find the items and what condition they are in, you can sell them for quite a bit of money. This is a common way for people to get started making money online, but they often move to something like affiliate or internet marketing, as there is a limit to how many cheap items you can find, and the effort it takes to find them increases in time, and makes it no longer worth it after a while.

6. Virtual Assistant: Many individuals building an online business grow their business so large that they are no longer capable of managing it on their own. They often search for a virtual assistant to take some of the load off their shoulders. A virtual assistant can do a variety of jobs ranging from checking emails, answering support questions, ad split testing and tracking, finance management, web design, etc. Basically they will do whatever the business owner does not like or want to do.

Individual business owners often end up hiring a team of people to do most of the work for them so that they can focus on the things that they are really good at and really enjoy doing. If you are willing to do things such as checking emails for business owners who do not have time to view and respond to all the emails they receive, then this is a great job for you! Again, you can find jobs like this at: http://www.RentaCoder.com, http://www.Guru.com and http://www.Elance.com.

7. Blogging For Profits: Blogging can be a great way to make some money at home, if your blog becomes popular. All you have to do is blog about the things you love. Post articles, videos, things that happen to you, and whatever you enjoy doing. As long as your blog is interesting, fun and has personality, people will enjoy your blog and keep coming back, and often refer people to the blog. Often all it takes is some initial traffic generation methods and great content and word will spread. Once you start receiving traffic to your blog, simply put up advertisements.

Adsense is a common one, but if your blog is receiving a good amount of traffic then you can go to places such as AdBrite.com and state the price of advertising space on your blog for a week or a month, post the listing on AdBrite and put a piece of HTML code on your website. Then AdBrite finds advertisers, puts their ads up and collects the payments for you! They do charge a small fee for doing this, but it isn’t very much and it saves you a lot of time and effort. Often if advertisers receive traffic from your website they will keep paying you month after month and you will gain a recurring income just from writing down the things you love! A great resource for learning to profit with blogs is Blogging to the Bank: http://whateverthetinyurlis.com

8. CPA Networks: CPA Networks are a very simple business model. You sign up with a CPA network, choose an offer to promote, and send people to a special landing page where they enter some information and you get paid. These are generally free trials, or free offers to test out products for companies. The person you send to the website will generally need to fill in their name and email address, although sometimes they will be required to pay for shipping and handling on a product, and sometimes they will only need to enter their zip code! These are very simple, as many people are willing to sign up for free trials or trial offers, so there are very high conversions. It is possible to make over 100k per day if you do this right. (and you will not make nearly that much when you first start out).

9. Survey Sites: Well, if you have seen my article on survey sites, then you probably know that I am not a fan. You can make money from them, but often it is very difficult and not worth your time. However, if you are completely unsuccessful with all the above work at home jobs, then you can try out survey sites. With these sites you usually pay a monthly membership fee, and then you have access to surveys that some large companies pay people to take so that they can understand what people want, and therefore attempt to please them.

Often the problem with these sites is you have to take a survey first to see if you qualify, and you often will not qualify for the survey, meaning you just took a survey for nothing. I advise you read the post linked to above to see more about what I have to say about paid survey sites, and why they generally do not pay, before you attempt to start a work at home business with survey sites.
If you would like to read my article about survey sites you can see it here: http://top5-workathome.com/blog/survey-sites-dont-even-get-me-started/

10. Data Entry: Ok, so everywhere you look you see ads for data entry saying that you can become rich just by doing some data entry for big companies that are too lazy to do it. Well, let me tell you that you are wasting your time with these. You will not get rich, you will not replace your current income and you will not be able to work from home doing these. I don’t care what you’ve been told, these are even worse than survey sites. These are scams, so don’t even bother trying to find legitimate data entry jobs. You are better off working at McDonalds.

If you are wanting to work at home, and rid yourself of the typical 9-5, or even if you are just wanting to earn a little extra cash, then these are the 10 best ways to make money while you work from home. If you seriously attempt every single one of these methods and you do not make money, then you are not cut out for working at home. Nearly anyone can make money using one of these methods.

The methods described in this article are only a few of the many strategies that you can use to become prosperous while working in the comfort of your own home.

Top 5 Methods of Making Money Online

In my previous article I discussed methods that anyone can use to work at home and make profit. In this article I will discuss the top 5 ways to make money online. This will overlap slightly with the article on working at home, but it will discuss some other ways that you can profit online.

First of all, I will briefly mention the methods of making money online that were discussed in my working at home article. There is internet and affiliate marketing, which involve either selling a product you created, or promoting someone else’s products for commissions. Then we have MLMs, which involve building up a downline in that makes money for you, and generally promoting a specific product. It is like affiliate marketing with affiliates working under you. Another method discussed was online freelancing work. You can write articles for other people, create software, design graphics and banners, design website or blog templates, or basically anything. You can also become a virtual assistant for another business owner, sell products on Ebay or other similar auction sites, monetize your blog for profits, promote offers for CPA networks, or take paid online surveys. These methods are all discussed in my previous article, which you can view here:

http://top5-workathome.com/blog/top-10-work-at-home-jobs/

Now let’s discuss the top 5 methods of making money online not included in my previous article.

1. Site Flipping: Site flipping is the process of purchasing websites in need of a little TLC, giving them the needed TLC and selling them for profits. If you can locate the proper websites, you only have to put a small amount of work into repairing the website and you can sell it for massive profits. The trick is knowing where to find these websites and what to look for. I am not an expert on site flipping, therefore I cannot inform you of the exact steps needed to be taken in order to succeed at site flipping.

If you would like to know which resource I personally believe is the #1 resource for learning how to flip websites and make thousands of dollars, I recommend The Site Rush. The creator, Saj P, made $274,000 using these methods just last month. He is definitely an expert in this field, and if I were to learn about site flipping from anyone, it would be Saj. So if you would like to learn in-depth strategies that you can use to succeed at site flipping, then I suggest you at least take a look at The Site Rush, which you can view here: http://tinyurl.com/the-site-rush

2. Buying And Selling Domains: Buying and selling domains is a similar process to site flipping. You simply purchase a domain either directly from the owner, from an auction site, or you can register the domain after it expires (recommended) and sell it for profit. This does not even require any work whatsoever after you have purchased the domain except to sell it at a more profitable location. I mentioned register expired domains.

Thousands of domains expire weekly because owners either don’t have the money to re-register the domain for another term, or they forget that they registered the domain and do not remember to re-register it. This means you can register their domains right after they expire so you only have to pay $10 for the domain that could be worth hundreds of dollars! The domains you pick up will already have search engine rankings, backlinks, and a reputation, meaning they can be worth a lot of money. You can either keep these domains and use them as your own sites that already have rankings, or you can sell these domains on auction sites and make some amazing profits.

The only difficulty with this method of making money online is that it is difficult to find these expired domains to register. You will need software that can search for expired domains so that you can easily locate and register the domains that have expired that you are interested in. If this strategy interests you, I suggest you check out Expired Domain Sleuth. This software enables you to locate expired domains, harvest links from the entire website, check the link validity, and 4 more things! This software will do almost everything for you, so that you can buy and sell domains quickly and easily. To find out the full details on what this software can do for you, visit Expired Domain Sleuth, and visit quickly! Domains are expiring as you read! You can see Expired Domain Sleuth here: http://tinyurl.com/expireddomainsleuth

3. Creating Blogs to Sell: Another great way to make money online is to create blogs with the intention of selling them. This is similar to blogging for profits, which I discussed in my working at home article, but with a slight twist. When you create a blog with the intention of eventually selling it, you want to make sure that you do not personalize the blog very much. Do not talk about yourself or your personal life, or make your blog revolve around you. You want the blog to revolve around the niche or subniche you are targeting. This way when you sell your site the transition between owners will be smooth and efficient. Basically all you have to do is create a blog revolving around any particular topic you choose and post useful content related to that topic. Then begin to generate traffic to your blog and monetize it using Adsense or Adbrite, or other similar advertising programs. You can also promote affiliate products. Once you are generating a reasonable income on autopilot, you can sell off your blog for a minimum of 6 months profit and up to 2 years profit. This is a simple and effective way to generate an online income. A great resource that teaches how to create blogs that can make you some massive profits is: http://tinyurl.com/benwellbttb3

4. Creating Websites to Sell: Creating websites to sell follows the same basic principles of creating a blog with the intention of selling it. Simply start up a website in your chosen niche. It can be an Ecommerce store, a website promoting an affiliate offer, or a website just offering great content with ads for people to click on. Again, once you are generating a steady stream of income, simply sell your website for a minimum of 6 months profit and start your next website. You can even combine this with method 3, and create a website with a blog and sell them both at the same time, creating an even more massive income!

5. Transcription Services: This method is quite different from the methods described above, but it is a simple way for you to make money online. You see, many people when attempting to create an eBook or even a physical book never actually write anything down. They simply talk and record the audio as the speak. Then they have someone transcribe and edit the audio for them into an eBook. You can make money by offering transcription services for these people.

These are very effective ways of that you can use to make yourself a ton of money using the wonderful power of the internet. Use them, and you should be able to quit that 9-5 that you obviously hate because you just read this article.
